The 2019 Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (IEEE PIMRC 2019) will mark the 30th anniversary of this symposium. The conference will be held on 8-11 September 2019 at the Istanbul Congress Center. The conference program includes world-class keynotes, business sessions and panels.

On the 10th of September at 4PM, our distinguished speakers from prominent mobile operators and universities will talk about how combination of AI & Automation will drive the next wave of communication, while disrupting the legacy network management methods. The panelists will also discuss the progress on the industry standards and their role in the evolution of mobile networks. Last but not least, our speakers will provide their perspective on the importance of the industry and university partnerships in fostering a stronger technology ecosystem. 

The panel will be moderated by Tarık Kranda, the Lead Product Manager at P.I. Works, and he will be joined by 4 other speakers:

• Cemal Alp Akbulut is our first speaker, he is a RAN architecture expert in Turk Telekom and his research interests include mobile radio telecommunications and next generation mobile networks.
• The second speaker, Dr. Salih Ergüt is currently working in the 5G R&D team at Turkcell and serves as a vice-chair of ITU-T Focus Group on "Machine Learning for Future Networks including 5G". 
• The third speaker Maziar Nekovee is a Professor of Telecoms and Mobile Technologies and Head of Centre for Advanced Communications, Mobile Technology and Artificial Intelligence at University of Sussex, UK. His current research focuses on 5G for verticals, beyond-5G/6G Mobile Communications in THz band and AI/ML for future communication networks design and automation.
• As for the fourth speaker Dr. Erol Hepsaydir is currently the Head of RAN and Devices Strategy at Three in the UK. His primary responsibilities are next generation telecommunication and wireless systems including 5G with particular interest on PHY/MAC layer and network architectures.
