P.I. Works' solutions have been selected as finalists in two categories at the FutureNet World Awards 2024 in London.
- The Network Disaggregation Award, The best example of a disaggregated networking solution. Three UK has been shortlisted, in collaboration with P.I. Works, for pioneering the adoption of OpenRAN ecosystem. Supported by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the SCONDA project aims to enable Three UK to manage both traditional RAN and OpenRAN networks in Glasgow through the use of a centralized non-Real Time RAN Intelligent Controller (non-RT RIC) provided by P.I. Works.
- The Network Sustainability Award, The best intelligent automation solution for network sustainability and energy efficiency. P.I. Works and Turkcell have partnered under AI4Green project to increase the energy efficiency of mobile networks, towards zero-emission operations, and enhance the overall customer experience. The AI4Green project aims to build sophisticated, energy-efficient algorithms and solutions assisted by AI across telecom networks - radio access, core, data centers, and storage. It factors in new architectures and smart grids, with a risk-aware approach to ensure reliable, sustainable operations.
